Tradier has three plans. While there's a free plan, you'll pay $0.35 per stock, ETF, equity contract, or per index option. Over time, that will become too pricey for active traders. Here is an overview of the three subscription plans: 

1. Tradier Standard: A commission-based trading plan that doesn't require a monthly subscription. However, this tends to be high-cost if you make many trades.

2. Tradier Pro: Get unlimited options and stock trading with the Pro plan for $10 monthly. Tradier is offering three months free of its Pro subscription plan. Tradier’s IRAs carry annual fees of $30, which are waived with a Pro subscription. There’s a $60 fee if you close an IRA account.

3. Tradier Pro Plus: For $35 a month, get a third plan with lower index options costs plus reduced $0.10 commissions for the Index options.

Tradier is unique in its platform offerings. Instead of offering just one or two trading platforms like most other brokers, Tradier offers a variety of third-party platforms investors can use. 

You can choose from more than 100 platforms through Tradier brokerage accounts, all with unique features and tools. You can also create your unique platform for use with its brokerage accounts. 

You can choose a platform with a specific focus, like options trading. You can also access international stock markets and futures to start investing with less risk.

Note that some of the advanced trading platforms have an additional cost. For example, the Track 'n Trade visual investing platform starts at $79 per month.

The basic sign-up is simple and can be completed in minutes. Since users can choose their trading platform, the user experience varies based on your trading goals, experience and the specific platform. You will need to use a specific platform, but fortunately, with Tradier, you can get community advice and try various platforms to find a five-star fit.

While much of Tradier’s education is geared toward experienced traders, new investors can learn a lot with some patience and persistence.

Compared to Charles Schwab, the price per trade, especially for low-cost index or mutual funds, is higher.
